It's the day most students dread - results day.
Many students will today arrive at school filled with anticipation at the thought of receiving their results.
The first thing to do is try not to panic. If you've been disappointed with your results or if your grades are lower than expected there are still lots of options and advice available with any decisions you may have.
It's the busiest and most demanding day of year for career advisers as the Exam Results Helpline opens. They will be on hand to deliver help and reassurance to students from 8am for the course of 10 days across the exam results period on Thursday, August 19.

The Exam Results Helpline is delivered by UCAS and provides guidance to schools, colleges and existing career advice on what people should do in the circumstances where they want more help and information
You can also get further information by visiting their website or call UCAS directly on 0871 468 0468 where you will receive free expert advice about continuing into higher education, undertaking a different career path, for example vocational qualifications, taking a gap year or simply funding employment.
Remember to check the status of your course by using the UCAS track website as there's still a chance that you may have a place with slightly lower grades. If you have not got a place there's still a chance for you at a different university if you go through the clearing process also.
Many other websites are available such as Childline or you can call Childline free on 0800 1111 or speak to a counsellor using 1-2-1 chat. You can also receive advice from other young people who may be in the same situation as you on the message boards.
