THE power of music helped raise money for a worthy cause in Morriston.
The Salvation Army held a special concert at its base in Morfydd Road to raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance.
The night saw them raise £340 for the life-saving service.
Derek Brown of the Salvation Army said: "The evening went very well and we were very pleased with what we raised.
"We had the Voices in Harmony Ladies Choir, the Salvation Army Band and a Soprano named Amelia Cox perform.
"The Wales Air Ambulance came along and did a night for us so we thought we would do something like this in return.
"We have got a big concert coming up on November 16. It will feature bands from all over South Wales and be held at the Grand Theatre."
The Wales Air Ambulance needs around £6 million a year and is run entirely on donations.
