Sport Wales is backing the first Welsh women's homeless football team to compete on the international stage.
The Welsh Warriors are set to join the men's team – The Welsh Dragons, who competed last year – at the annual Homeless World Cup in Poznan, Poland from 10-18 August.
Established in 2003, the tournament will see both Welsh teams competing for the first time against 15 other football teams from countries throughout the world, with the hope of bringing the coveted prize back to Wales.
Sport Wales said they stepped in at the last minute to help provide training kit for the team, who are managed by by Street Football Wales (SFW).
Street Football Wales Manager Keri Harris said it has been a 10 year mission for SFW to get them to the tournament.
Keri added: "We are all very excited and hope we can make Wales proud!"
Sport Wales Manager, Tom Overton, said: "We're committed to and passionate about levelling the playing field for the people of Wales and are working hard with our partners to break down the barriers preventing people from participating and competing in sport.
"We're delighted to be able to play a part in supporting the Welsh Warriors; getting them kitted out to be able to compete for our nation in Poland.
"We wish them the best of luck and look forward to working with Street Football Wales in getting more homeless men and women in Wales into sport in the future."
