A LLANELLI legend passed away this morning.
Lewis "Lewi" Jones died peacefully at 2.30am today.
It is believed that he suffered a second stroke on Monday evening, following February's initial stroke.
Known throughout the town, Lewi was linesman of Llanelli Warriors - a rugby club which inclusive of players with learning difficulties.
Friend, coach and Warriors secretary, Gwilym Lewis paid tribute to the rugby fanatic.
He said: "He will be sadly missed and Llanelli as a town will miss him.
"He was part of the fabric of the town.
"I'm sure repercussions will be felt across the rugby community.
"He was a very well known and well-loved character."
