CRAIGFELEN Primary School is bidding farewell to Carole Hill as she retires after 30 years of teaching.
Mrs Hill has spent 24 of those years at the Woodside Crescent school in Clydach.
The longest-serving current member of staff, Mrs Hill said she remembered teaching some of the parents of the current crop of pupils.
After being a part of the school community for so long, Mrs Hill will be missed — and the feeling is mutual.
"I will really miss the children and my colleagues," she said.
However, she said she was looking forward to retirement as it meant she could catch up on housework and spend time with her granddaughter.
Headteacher Alison Williams said: "You can't replace that much experience. She is very respected by the community and will be sorely missed."
