A WOMAN from the Swansea area has pleaded not guilty to murdering a baby.
She also faces a second charge of causing grievous bodily harm to another child.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Newport Crown Court yesterday to enter not guilty pleas to both charges.
No trial date could be set but the next hearing is expected to take place in September. The Honourable Mr Justice Wyn Williams granted the woman conditional bail.
He told her: "Your case is being adjourned to a date which will be fixed.
"The hearing next time will be in Swansea Crown Court, if you fail to appear you may be committing a criminal offence. Do you understand?" "Yes," the woman replied.
