NEW Afan Lido boss Paul Evans has bolstered his squad with four new signings ahead of the new Welsh Premier League season.

Among them is versatile midfielder Nicky Holland, (above) formerly of Llanelli, Swansea City and Port Talbot Town.

The 24-year-old brings a wealth of Welsh Premier experience and can operate across the midfield.

"Nicky has bags of top flight experience and he'll be a great addition to the squad," said Evans.

"Hopefully, some of the experience that he brings will rub off on the younger members. He's a very fit lad also and will be of great help to us as he can play in a variety of different positions."

Evans has also brought in three players from his former club Tata Steel of Welsh League division one — defender Lee McLachlan, goalkeeper Matthew Stanton and midfielder Michael Davies.

Evans added: "I've worked with these boys for the last four years and I know that they're more than capable of making the step up to the Welsh Premier League.

"They deserve a chance to prove that and I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform."
