YNYSTAWE are the latest side to try to halt the march of first division leaders Neath in round seven of the Thomas Carroll Insurance South Wales Cricket Association.

The Swansea Valley side have moved into second spot in the table following their win over Llangennech last weekend, but remain 27 points adrift of the Gnoll men.

Neath were indebted to their director of cricket Adrian Shaw, who steered them home against Tata Steel on Saturday. They make two changes, with talented youngsters Ashley Colston and Matthew Pearce recalled.

Dafen will hope to take confidence from their Welsh Cup upset of Mumbles when they take on Gowerton.

The 2011 champions were beaten by Carmarthen Wanderers last weekend, a loss that keeps them seventh. Jamie Mansel and Chris Davies return tomorrow.

Gowerton sit in fourth and currently boast three of the top four batsmen in the league, with experienced left-hander Paul Rees heading the run-scoring charts on 313.

Tata Steel will be looking to bounce back from their defeat by Neath when they take on Clydach. Cameron Bamford and Rohan Herbert have been named in the Steelmen's starting XI.

As for Clydach, they are without prolific opener Jason Davies as well as Matthew Vaughan and Cameron Protheroe. Jonathan and Chris Donne and experienced all-rounder Brian Fisher are drafted in.

There is a crucial game in the Llynfi Valley with the bottom two, Maesteg Celtic and Llangennech, locking horns.

Llan will be targeting a second victory of the season to help lift them out of the drop zone, but are without skipper Simon Clement, who is unavailable. Stuart Davies takes over the reins.

In the other match in the top flight, Carmarthen Wanderers will be favourites to overcome Cowbridge at Trinity Fields.

The Wanderers welcome back wicketkeeper Rhys Thomas in the only change from last week's team that won at Dafen.

Second division leaders Skewen will be hoping to maintain their red-hot winning streak when they host struggling Morriston.

Second-placed Briton Ferry Steel head west to take on Llandysul, while bottom club Pontardawe take on Llanelli at Stradey. In the third division, leaders Porthcawl host Landore, while the game of the day in the fourth division sees pacesetters Pwll take on nearest rivals Baglan.
