MASTERCHEF finalists Dale Williams and Larkin Cen took to the streets of Swansea today to show why they made it big on one of TV's most popular shows. They stopped off at Swansea Market to gather ingredients for two cook-offs outside in Oxford Street where appreciative crowds gathered. The 2013 Masterchef pair, who were given a £30 budget each, were supporting the Love your Local Market nationwide campaign and were more than impressed with what the city one offered. Larkin chose as his dish Charsui - barbecued roast pork and Chinese leek. He said"There was some really good energy out there. I was really, really impressed with the market. We had a bit of banter with people and it was really good." Dalecooked summer vegetables spring broth with hake and mussels. "It is the first time we have done anything like this," he said. "The TV show was a competition for a process. This was a bit of fun bringing the crowds in. It was good. "I think the market is cracking, particularly the fish. I think it is really good quality."
