PORT Talbot classical star Paul Potts has said how strange it was to watch James Corden re-enact a scene from his wedding day.
The Gavin and Stacey star is playing Potts in One Chance, a film about his rose to fame, which is due to be released later this year.
The wedding scenes were filmed at St Catharine's Church in Baglan last year.
Talking about the autobiographical film, The Britain's Got Talent winner told Sky's Eamonn Holmes how strange it had been for him to see some of the filming.
Scenes were shot on Aberavon Beach, outside Aberafan Shopping Centre, at the Twelve Knights pub in Margam and at Port Talbot railway station.
The cameras also rolled at streets in the town centre including Edward Street, which is where Potts used to live before he became a household name.
"It's a bit bizarre to be honest," he said.
"I remember watching them filming the wedding scene and I was sat next to David Frankel the director.
"Julie was sat on the other side and David noticed Julie had tears coming from her eyes and he said 'she looks really emotional'.
"'David,' I said, 'she's laughing her head off!"
More than 500 extras were called up to help shoot the film in Port Talbot last Autumn.
As well as staring Corden, The Iron Lady actress Alexandra Roach from Ammanford, plays Potts' wife Julie Ann Cooper.
It also features Julie Walters, Star Trek's Colm Meaney and Mackenzie Crook, who were all spotted in the town during filming.
Simon Cowell is also rumoured to make a cameo appearance in the film.
In an interview with CinemaSauce website Justin Zackham, who wrote the screenplay, said he saw the finished film a couple of weeks ago.
"I'm happy to report that the end product has turned out great," he said.
"The film relates everything it took for Paul to get to the stage in front of the panel of judges.
"After seeing his video for like 30 seconds I knew I had to write about this guy. I'm so proud of the film."
One Chance is named after Potts's album which topped the charts in nine countries after he won the ITV talent show with his rendition of Nessun Dorma.
