FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a large blaze at the National Library of Wales.
Flames and smoke can be seen coming from the roof of the Aberystwyth library, and some 300 staff have been evacuated.
Four fire engines, including an aerial ladder, are at the scene, and reports suggest a large section of the building's roof has been destroyed.
It was not yet known how the fire started.
The library — which was established by Royal Charter in 1907 — houses millions of books, manuscripts, archives, maps, photographs, as well as films and music.
