A NEW playground in Morriston has put a smile on youngsters' faces.
Swansea Council's children's play team joined up with local children to design the natural play area with the aid of money from the Child's Play Big Lottery Fund.
It includes equipment made from natural materials such as wood. Swansea Council's cabinet member for opportunities for children and young people, Mitch Theaker said: "There are different pressures on free play in the outdoors for children and families including perceived risks, lack of time, homework and the lure of games consoles etc, which we need to be aware of an overcome.
"I'm so pleased we have this new play space especially as it was designed in consultation with children themselves."
