THE congregation of a Swansea Church is to hold a special celebration next weekend.
The Brunswick Methodist Church, in St Helen's Road, first opened 140 years ago and a series of events has been planned to mark the occasion.
The celebrations, which will run over Saturday and Sunday will kick-off with a super coffee morning when the church will be open from 10.30am and there will be an exhibition on events during the life of the church.
An anniversary worship service will take place from 10.30am on the Sunday where anyone previously connected to the church and the wider public are welcome to attend.
The Brunswick is the only remaining Methodist Church in Swansea's city centre after others in Oxford Street and Pell Street were destroyed during the air raids of the Second World war.
