SOLDIERS who have suffered some appalling injuries are stopping off at the Liberty Stadium on Thursday morning as part of a 2,000km cycle ride.

The Cycle 2000 team is due to call in at the stadium at 9am.

The cyclists aim to visit all 20 current Premier League grounds as well as military sites and rehab centres.

They hope to raise £250,00 for Help for Heroes and ABF The Soldiers' Charity.

The team is made up of civilians, serving and former soldiers - three of whom are amputees - and three former injured soldiers who now work for Barclays, spearheading a scheme to help 1,000 wounded personnel get back into work.

Swans ambassador Lee Trundle is expected to greet the team and see them on their way.
