MICHAEL Laudrup has declared Swansea City ready for Manchester United after they eased through to the Europa League play-off round in Malmo last night.
Swansea kept their seventh successive clean sheet as their third qualifying round second leg with the Swedes ended 0-0.
Laudrup's men were hardly ruffled as Malmo failed to mount any sort of comeback following their 4-0 defeat in the first leg.
And the Swansea manager reckons his team are in good shape as their focus switches to the Premier League.
Swansea begin the season in eight days' time with a home game against the champions.
And Laudrup said: "We are ready, not just for Manchester United but for the start of the league.
"We have got through in Europe and we have not conceded goals in either game against Malmo.
"Most of the players have got 90 minutes in at least one of the games, and that's much better than last year when we played a couple of friendlies before the season started." Laudrup had targeted victory in Malmo — but was happy enough with the stalemate even though Wilfried Bony saw a goal wrongly ruled out for offside. "Overall I am satisfied," he added.
"We knew we were almost through before the game, but we produced a professional performance."
Swansea will discover at noon today who their opponents will be in the next stage of the Europa League, with another two-legged tie to be played at the end of the month.
"I have looked into it and I think we will be seeded, which is good because it means we avoid some of the big teams," Laudrup said.
"But there are still some good teams in the other half of the draw.
"All I hope is that we get another short journey — and ideally I would like the first leg to be away from home."
