LEON Britton has warned that Swansea City will have to overcome Malmo's superior fitness if they are to progress in the Europa League. The Swedish side knocked out Hibernian tonight in spectacular fashion to set up a third qualifying round clash against Michael Laudrup's side. Ahead 2-0 from the first leg, Malmo ran riot at Easter Road, scoring seven unanswered goals. Next they travel to the Liberty on Thursday before Swansea visit Scandinavia for the return match a week later. Swansea will be favourites to advance, but Malmo are midway through their season and may have the edge in terms of match sharpness. "It's a tough draw, I think Malmo have a got a good history in Europe and they're one of the best teams in Sweden," said Britton. "Fitness-wise they're going to be a little bit ahead of ourselves. "Any team that are halfway through their season are going to be right on it. "We're trying to get there in pre-season, but it's never the same. "They will have the slight advantage in conditioning but the aim all pre-season has been to make sure we hit the ground running on August 1."
