PRINCE William and his wife Kate have introduced their baby son and the future king to the world tonight.
He revealed to the waiting press and well-wishers that their little one "had a good pair of lungs."
The Duke of Cambridge said they were both working on a name for their first born.
He added that they were "having a proper chance to catch up"and it was "very emotional" and a "very special" time for them both.
The name of the new baby is not expected to be revealed tonight.
Kate added that it was "a special time for any parent."
Her sister Pippa Middleton along with her boyfriend were among the visitors today to see the third in line to the throne.
The Queen was said to be "thrilled" following the arrival of her great-grandson, a guest at a Buckingham Palace reception revealed.
The baby weighed in on Monday afternoon at 4.24pm weighing 8lb 6oz.
They revealed that William had carried out the first nappy change.
