A TEACHER originally from Swansea is being deported from America after admitting sexual exploitation of a 17-year-old female student, it has been reported.
Gawain Roberts, a former Loveland, Colarado, teacher from Fort Collins was heard by a court to have received inappropriate photos of the student.
The victim's grades "went up dramatically" after she transferred pictures to Roberts.
He was given a suspended six-year prison sentence after accepting a plea deal for one of the exploitation offences.
Roberts was said to have worked at Thompson School District in Loveland for six years and resigned in October 2012 a few weeks before the charges were filed.
