JONATHAN de Guzman has fingers crossed that a second successful year at Swansea City will see him go to next summer's World Cup.
The midfielder broke into the Netherlands squad thanks to his Liberty form last season and now hopes for more of the same.
And he is not the only Swansea player who is eyeing a trip to Brazil 2014.
Here are five more realistic contenders:
1. Wilfried Bony. Swansea's new £12 million centre-forward has established himself as an Ivory Coast international, and the Elephants are going well in qualifying as they bid for a third straight World Cup appearance.
2. Michu. After the near-miss last season, can Swansea's Spanish forward force his way into the finest international squad on the planet? More form like last year will give him a chance.
3. Michel Vorm. Swansea's goalkeeper was part of the Dutch squad for the last two major tournaments, and will hope a strong season at club level could see him go to Brazil as first choice.
4. Ki Sung-Yueng. Midfielder played for South Korea at the last World Cup and, despite recent controversy over comments he made about their former coach, Ki will hope to be involved again with qualification already secured.
5. Jonjo Shelvey. Recent £5 million signing from Liverpool is one of a few Swansea players with England hopes — though he is the only one with a cap to his name already.
