A 23-YEAR-OLD man was taken to Swansea's Morriston Hospital after a late night assault in the city centre.
The incident happened at Somerset Place shortly before 11.45pm last night.
Police said the victim suffered chest injuries. The area was still sealed off this morning, with an officer standing guard.
A 41 year-old man was arrested in connection with the assault.
Officers said the victim's injuries were not considered life threatening.
