A BURGLAR was given three-month sentence so he will be released in time to start college.
Christian Matthews had targeted a house on Peniel Green Road in Llansamlet along with another man.
Matthews was caught after he left himself logged into an iPad he had stolen from the house. The iPad had been returned to his victim, who discovered he had logged himself into the Game Centre on her device.
The pair stole an iPad, TV and DVD player as well as three flatscreen TVs, prosecutor Rhys Thomas said.
Matthews, 24, said he had joined Jason Preston, aged 43, in burgling the house.
Preston, from Beddw, has already been sentenced to 18 months in prison after he broke into six caravans while he was staying in Port Eynon in March.
From one of the caravans, he took a handbag, which contained the purse, house and car keys of Tracy Davies.
She had been on a walk with her sister when the pair returned and discovered the caravan had been raided and her handbag was missing.
The pair used details taken from her driving licence to go to her home and use her keys to get inside.
She said she felt like she had been "kicked to the stomach" after discovering the break-in.
" I feel like a prisoner in my own home and violated. I feel like the person who came may come back and get me," her statement to Swansea Crown Court read.
Police found most of the stolen goods and Ms Davies was asked to go to the police and identify her possessions. When she later logged into her iPad, she found Matthews, of Heol Gwrgan, Beddau, had left his details logged in on the Game Centre application.
He told police he was heavily intoxicated at the time of the burglary, which he admitted.
David Webster, for Matthews, said his client had met Preston after he had broken into the caravans, and was persuaded to join him in going to the house.
Judge Paul Thomas said: "The trauma, the upset and the distress caused to the householder in this case was significant.
"In any case where someone's home is burgled, they will inevitably feel they privacy and security has been invaded," he said, before jailing Matthews for three months.
The judge said he had taken into account that Preston was an older, established criminal and said he wanted Matthew's jail term to end in time for him to start his planned college course to help him get on a "proper path".
