IN the Evening Post on Thursday, July 4, we reported on an inquest into the death of Stephen Jarvis.
An operation was carried out by Dr Lennox Taylor at Neath General Hospital in August 1999.
The Post reported that it was the day after his operation he deteriorated.
We would like to clarify that he deteriorated on the second post-operative day.
Dr Taylor added that in regards to the delay of treatment he did not say that the delay had been "reasonable".
The Post is happy to clarify this and that he had said "in the circumstances the delay was not unreasonable".
The coroner emphasised that Mr Taylor and consultant physician Steven Lennox were not involved in the early assessment of Mr Jarvis at Neath.
