PUPILS at Gnoll Primary School got to experience first hand the work of one of the world's most famous biologists.

Doctor George and Jan Beccaloni from the Natural History Museum in London visited the school to discuss Alfred Russel Wallace. The children had been learning all about Wallace and his work and put on an exhibition at the Gwyn Hall.

Teacher Faye Evans said: "It was an amazing experience for the children.

"They gave a talk to and brought along some specimens from the collection. The children got to hold a tarantula which has been dead since 1938."
