MORE than £400 has been raised for a Swansea church after an event at the city's Mansion House.

A fund raising cream tea was held at the venue in Uplands in aid of St Hilary's Church in Killay.

Congregation member Murray Davies attended the event with his wife Pam.

Mr Davies said: "It was very well attended.

"We were limited to 60 places and every ticket was sold."

The money raised by the event will help go towards the everyday running of the church which costs in the region of £1,000 every week.

Mr Davies added: "Events like this are vital."
