TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Swansea health trust boss who has died.
Jane Perrin, who was once the chief executive of Swansea NHS Trust, has died aged 54.
Ms Perrin first took up the post with the trust, which is now part of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board, in April 2002.
She was then seconded to the National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Health Care (NLIAH), before stepping down from that post in 2007.
She went on to gain consultancy experience in an international capacity but became unwell last year.
Whittington Health's chief executive, Dr Yi Mieh Koh, where Ms Perrin, was chief executive between 1996 to 2000, has paid tribute to her.
She said: "Jane was a much respected and liked leader of the Whittington and we have much to thank her for, including the wonderful new building at the hospital site."
