WHAT a better way to celebrate the summer solstice than a spot of relaxing yoga?
That's exactly what happened when teacher Jackie Dorrian hosted a 108 Sun Salutations Summer Solstice yoga session on Swansea Bay to raise money for the charity Helping Hands for India — which aims to educate disadvantaged children.
The event was held outside the 360 Beach and Watersports and involved around 40 people.
Jackie Dorrian said: "The event celebrated the summer solastice by doing 180 salutation.
"It was magnificent how the session captured so many people's attention, even in such windy weather! It also helped to show that it doesn't matter how old, fit or unfit you are, you can practise yoga.
"I was really overwhelmed by the turn out."
The event was free but people still dug into their pockets and in total Jackie raised an impressive £80 for the charity.
