SHE'S got a few more weeks before crossing the finish line in her battle with cancer.
But it was an emotional moment for inspirational Pembrey mum Caris Bowen as she completed the Race for Life on Sunday.
The 21-year-old, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in January, has just three more chemotherapy sessions left.
But despite undergoing treatment for the disease which often leaves her bed-bound, she managed to complete the 5km challenge.
"It was amazing," said the mum-of-two. "The atmosphere and the adrenaline keep you going.
"I had never done it before and since I was diagnosed I don't walk anywhere.
"I think it would have been different if I was on my own, but my family and friends were there.
"I saw a few patients who I see in the hospital cheering."
And Caris dedicated her efforts to the "fighters and survivors".
"I know I'm going through it, but I'm not the only one," she said.
She added that once her treatment was completed on July 12 she hoped to get back to fitness and tackle more challenges for Cancer Research UK.
"I will be doing so many things," she said.
