KATHERINE Jenkins has accepted an apology from Simon Cowell after the music mogul claimed on live TV the Neath singer was experiencing a 'dip' in her career.
Mr Cowell made the comment during the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals when he told operatic singing hopeful Aliki Chrysochou that her performance of Come What May could see her take over as the new Jenkins.
He said: "I was not expecting that from you tonight, you are stunning, beautiful, humble."
"What's interesting is, with Katherine Jenkins taking a dip – a big dip – at the moment, maybe your time has come."
He reaffirmed the comment when questioned by another judge.
But 32-year-old Katherine has since urged her fans not to be 'too hard' on Mr Cowell.
She also told her 293,000 followers he had more than made up for it.
"Don't be too hard on @SimonCowell… He did also send a proper apology by way of text #ApologyAccepted #FriendsReunited #BGT," she tweeted on Sunday.
Katherine retweeted an apology tweet from the big man himself, reading: 'Sorry Katherine. X.'
The comment came just days after Katherine announced she had left her record label, Warner Music Entertainment, which she signed a £5.8million deal with in 2008.
She has previously dismissed rumours she left the label because of her 'diva demands', which reportedly included her spending £1,500 a day on hair and make-up.
"Dear friends and fans, yes I can confirm that I'm moving record label. I have reached the end of my 3 album deal with Warners," she tweeted.
"I'm super excited about where I'm going next but am currently sworn to secrecy… you will of course be the first to know as soon as I can say!
"This is a happy time for me personally and as an artist so please do not be concerned by nonsense reports in the press. Love you xxx."
