GLAMORGAN were forced to settle for a draw following a rain-affected final day against Leicestershire at Grace Road.

After a delayed start, the hosts resumed on 133-1, still 167 behind the Welsh side's first innings of 442-9.

Greg Smith added just eight to his overnight score to make 70 before Michael Hogan trapped him lbw.

The hosts' Michael Thornly had reached 43 when he was caught lbw by Michael Reed.

Leicestershire got to 182-2 before rain closed in again and brought about a premature end to the match with less than 13 overs bowled in the day.

Glamorgan had been in command after a fabulous first innings in which James Allenby made an unbeaten 138.

Allenby shared 117 with Graham Wagg as Glamorgan declared on 442-9.

Hogan (4-25) dismissed three of the top four while Glover also chipped in with 4-51 as the hosts struggled in reply.

Last man Nathan Buck fell to the final ball of the day, leaving Leicestershire 142 all out and trailing by 300 runs.
