SWANSEA Uplands secured promotion from division five west with a 107-7 home win against Pembroke.

The Uplands finished second in the table behind Gowerton and will go up without having to go down the play-off route due to being the second best runner-up across the five division fives.

They ran in 17 tries on Saturday, the Edmunds brothers again getting on the scoresheet.

Four tries went to wing Harry Lees and three to full-back James Edmunds.

Centre Rhys Williams, wing Alex Greenslade and fly-half Tom Edmunds all got two each, with single scores going to centre Sion Edmunds, scrum-half Sam Jones, flanker Ben Davies and replacement Paul Beck.

In the only other match in five west, mid-table Penygroes won 15-8 at St Clears.

Their try-scorers were man of the match Gareth Davies and lock Jamie Gimblett, his first for Penygroes. Chris Powell added a conversion and penalty.

There was only one game in division six west, Fall Bay winning 6-3 at home to bottom club Llansawel on Friday.

The Gower side finished second from bottom.
