GLAMORGAN crashed to defeat on an afternoon of high drama at Colwyn Bay.
Set 154 to beat Lancashire and claim their second LV= County Championship win in a row, the Welsh county were dismissed for just 139.
And from dominating 90 per cent of he contest, Glamorgan ended up losing by 14 runs.
That will be a bitter pill to swallow for coach Matthew Mott and captain Mark Wallace, who were within sight of victory in the early part of the afternoon.
At one point in their second innings, Lancashire were on the ropes at 208-8. But the match swung with the arrival of No. 10 Kyle Hogg. Together with Gareth Cross, who made 30, Hogg contributed to a ninth-wicket stand of 63.
Hogg was last man out as the visitors reached 272 all out. His innings of 47 contained eight boundaries.
Glamorgan did not seem in any bother when openers Ben Wright and Will Bragg raced to 38, only for the former to fall in the fifth over when bowled by Glenn Chapple.
Bragg lost his second partner when Stewart Walters was out with the score on 71.
He also lost Marcus North, but it was when Bragg went for 61 — with the score on 103 — that Glamorgan crumbled.
They lost their last seven wickets for just 36 as Lancashire's bowlers — led by the impressive Simon Kerrigan (5-32) took control.
And their amazing comeback was complete when Kerrigan had Michael Hogan caught by Ashwell Prince.
