PORT Talbot residents have been voicing their concerns about a new seafront speed bump.
A new speed bump has been built on Princess Margaret Way at a pedestrian crossing.
But it has created a stir online with a picture of the new bump receiving 200 comments on Facebook.
Concerns have been raised about the steepness and its visibility, however, the council has since painted white lines on the bump to alert motorists.
The council's head of engineering and transport, Dave Griffiths, said: "A new raised zebra crossing has been constructed in tarmac on Princess Margaret Way near the Aquasplash creating an improved crossing point for pedestrians at this location.
"Some motorists were unaware of the new crossing point as the signage and road markings highlighting the new works had not been fully installed.
"Although the works comply with the national design guidance, given the concerns raised the gradient of the ramps will now be altered. The work is scheduled for completion this week and the council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to local motorists at this time."
What do you think? Do you think it is too steep?
