CRIMESTOPPERS has put up a £2000 reward following robberies in Gorslas and Llansamlet.
The independent charity is offering the cash in return for any information which leads to the arrest, charge and conviction of the person responsible for two recent robberies.
Gorslas Service Station near Cross Hands and the Shar Tandoori Takeaway in Trallwn Road, Llansamlet were both victims of a robbery on the night of Thursday, November 15.
"The hope is that this reward will encourage members of the public to come forward with information that could prove vital in finding the person responsible for these crimes and bringing them to justice," said Detective Inspector Steve Cockwell.
"The offender is described as male, white, 5ft 7ins to 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing a black puffa type jacket which is thick and smooth with a dark hoodie underneath with the hood up. He wore a Halloween type face covering, white in colour with black detail. He was wearing dark coloured over trousers which had two horizontal fluorescent stripes around the bottom of the leg.
"We are keen to trace any witnesses that saw a motorcyclist at around 10pm near Gorslas Service Station on the Llandeilo side. This motorcyclist was stationary on the pavement within 20 metres of the garage.
"If anyone has information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, please contact us at Ammanford CID (Dyfed-Powys area) or Neath CID (South Wales area) by calling 101."
A person has been arrested in connection with the robberies and bailed by police.
The reward being offered by Crimestoppers can only be claimed for information that is passed on via 0800 555 111.
Information can also be passed through the charity's secure online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org – however, passing information through this means will not qualify for any reward.
