CHILDREN at a Gwendraeth Valley chapel ended its year-long celebration by presenting knitted blankets to the Salvation Army.
Capel Seion in Drefach celebrated 300 years of worship last year, and held a series of events, including a relay race and concerts. Sunday school teachers decided the children could help people who were not able to join in the celebrations — by knitting scarves.
The children had such a good grasp that, when they joined the scarves together, they formed a chain around the chapel three times over.
These were put together to make 15 blankets for the homeless, presented to Meleri Cray and Captain Neil Duqamein.
