WALES lock Ian Evans has been ruled out of the clash with Australia at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday after failing a fitness test on a knee problem.
Blues lock Lou Reed, called up to the training squad this week, comes straight into the starting line-up as a direct replacement for Evans.
A statement from the WRU read: "While he completed training this week, he has not been totally free of pain and after discussions between the Welsh Rugby Union and his regional medical team, it has been decided to withdraw him from the game in order to seek further investigation and opinion.
"A timescale for his absence has not been discussed at this present time."
